Cosmic Love - Florence & the Machine
A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped, and I was in the darkness,
So darkness I became.

A Thought
People are afraid to debate troubling issues that might not be resolved immediately, cause discouragement, or be viewed as complainers. They want a situation where a solution is readily available as soon as an issue is raised.

For the most part, because of this, people blame themselves for the conditions of their lives, instead of those truly at fault. People avoid talk that mentions structural problems, has no immediate solutions, has long time horizons, and addresses democracy and participation. Talk of this kind makes people very irritated or angry. It threatens to shatter the happiness we have found -- the happiness that we take on to weather the rest of it.

Many citizens want to be more than passive monads shuffling between work and sleep, but few are able to express their broad desires and concerns in public.

A precious political, emotional, social good evaporates before reaching broad public circulation.
